Hi Drew,
I find some of your blog pretty interesting. I found it while looking for balanced responses to Lighter Life as I am considering using it. Being desperately bored of thinking about my weight, it was great to hear someone acknowledge that you don't become a whole new shiny person just because you're a bit skinnier, that you are still (for better or worse) you and that for most of the programme you felt like crap.
I would be really interested to know how you feel about it a year or so on - have you felt that it was worth it? How have you managed your health since you achieved that amazing amount of weight loss? Do you think that the fast, dramatic method of losing weight is sustainable - did your metabolism even out or was it wrecked? How did you adapt to eating food again without going bananas? ETC.
It would be great to have an update as it seems that you are motivated and have moved on in other ways.
Thanks.
Lara.

[...] All I really have to say on this subject – for now – is that it’s important that you are around people who accept you for who you are in the present. The world really doesn’t need any more fairweather friends; in fact, they should probably be #11 on my list of people who really have to go. [...]
