LighterLife Diet, day 11

With all the cursing and blinding and what not I’ve been doing over the last few days, it’s time I calmed down some.

I usually joke:

The most dangerous place in the world is between a black man and his food.

Some of you who’ve read my post yesterday would probably have no idea how much I like chicken, particularly in its roasted and/or fried form. Well believe me when I say it drove me crazy.

Moments before I went to bed last night, I was still pissed off about not being able to enjoy Sunday dinner. The taste of the crispified chicken soup was much better than the soup itself.
However, on the verge of giving in to the delicious chicken skin and piles of pasta bake, I thought about what would happen if I stuck with the diet, and how much lighter and more attractive I would be in general. Life would probably not be as easy as if I were a girl, but it would be easier.

So I decided there and then, that I would at least wait out the minimum of eight weeks. I would still be much slimmer having lost three stones, and I would then work on losing the other two myself. Of course, five stones is my target, and the quicker I can get to it the better.

I had a thought today about abstaining from all food: what about lettuce? Surely you could eat lettuce instead of regular food; after all, it was mostly water.
Well, that hope was quickly dashed. A quick bit of research showed that lettuce does contain calories! and carbohydrates! and fat! Yes, just 100 grams of lettuce can contain as much as 15 calories.

I am tempted to eat regular food on my upcoming vacation, even for just one day, but last night I read about another LighterLife dieter who went back to regular food after his second week. He advised against it, and I can understand why: once you go back to regular food, it would be near impossible to eat this shit.

Today’s menu consisted of a raspberry shake, a chewy fruit bar (which stank but tasted quite good), and still to come is a chocolate shake - which I will try with coffee - and a leftover vegetable soup from Saturday. I am behind on my water intake.
